Yates

Mr. Yates the Yates that I am speaking of was my great grandmother. She lived in Huntertown Indiana before her death. She died in 1998 or 1999. My grandmother,her daughter passed away a few weeks after she did,so I couldn't ask her any questions about the family history. My Great Grandmother's maiden name was Yates. I'm not even sure what my Great Grandmother's name was. Although that would be easy to find out by just asking my father. But other than him being able to tell me what my great Grandparents names were and what my great aunts and great uncles names were I don't think he knows much else. And any family wouldn't be of much help because I do not know any of the living family members. When my dad's sister died in 1986 we pretty much lost all contact with that side of the family. And I have no idea how to go about finding my family roots. But I guess I'll start by asking my father some questions, then maybe that will help me out on my search. I am very interested in my family roots and where my ancestors came from. I would like to make a family tree of both sides of my family and my husbands family so I can pass it on down to my children. Thank you for your response. I'm going to start my search by asking my father some questions and then I will go from there.
