VAHLE

Searching for the VAHLEs from Bielefeld, Westfalen, Germany. August VAHLE, who married Augusta BLIEMUND, in Germany, was my husband's maternal grandfather. He was born Wilhelm AUGUST VAHLE, March 28, 1859 in Oberjollenbeck, Bielefeld, Prussia. His parents were Zacharias VAHLE and Anna Marie CASSING. August and Augusta came to Burlington, Des Moines County, IA with 4 children in 1890. Eight more children were born in Burlington. August and Augusta died in Burlington, and are buried in Aspen Grove Cemetery. If anyone is related to this family, or to any of the VAHLEs of Bielefeld, I would welcome a reply to this query.
