Hello first I need to say, that what Roberto van Hemelrijck said is wrong.
Roberto, your last name is not van Hemelyck, is van Hemelrijck, you live in Peru (South America) When our grandfather Came from Belgium he changed the IJ for the Y, he did it so it would be easier for people to write our last name.
We got the “van” on 1387 on the battle of gold spurs, and our grangranfather inherited the nobility title from his father in the title: Barons, our cousin in Belgium still has the title.
