Found this on a web site of the WW1 Jersey Roll of Honour and wondered if this is the 'Camille' you mention, he certainly was born around the right time, married a Sarah and died on the "Char", but in the English Channel, not Scapa Flow:-
DUCHEMIN, Camille Alfred - St.L. Seaman 2592A H.M. Tug "Char.", Royal Naval Reserve K 16/01/1915. Age 26. Previously served as submariner. Several years in the service of the Union Castle Line, commencement of war served on HMS Harrier & Char. Latter sunk following collision with an oil tanker in the English Channel. Son of Jane E. Duchemin, of Wiltshire Place, Beaumont, Jersey, Channel Islands; husband of Sarah E. Duchemin, of 1, Edinburgh Rd., Mile End, London. CHATHAM NAVAL MEMORIAL Kent, United Kingdom Panel Number: 14.
