My mother Marie Van Hemelryck came from a family of mostly girls, her older Brother Jan was a ships Captain, He was lost at sea before WWII. She had relatives in Rotterdam, where the family went at the beginning of WWI and then came back and stayed for the entire German occupation. Her father was executed by the Germans because he wouldn't work in a munitions factory. love yvonne
