STANLEY family in Canada and Vermont
Posted by Morgan Cole <maccole73@hotmail.com> on Mon, 31 Dec 2007
I'm looking for info on the STANLEY family that lived in Quebec and posssibly Portneuf up til the late 1860's. I say possibly Portneuf because my gg-grandmother Jane Stanley was b. Aug 22, 1852 in Portneuf. Her father was John STANLEY b. abt 1824-1827 in Ireland. Her mother was Anna ANDERSON b abt 1827 in Scotland, maybe Canada. The other children of John and Anna were: Anne b. abt 1854 Canada. Isabel b abt 1856 Canada. Gilbert b. abt 1858 Canada. Margaret b. abt 1864 Canada. In the late 1860's the family moved to Newbury, Orange, Vermont. Maybe to be closer to Jane as she married Austin Betters. Austin, too was from Quebec, but his family moved to Derby, Vermont. Any assistance would be appreciated. All info I have is what I've stated here. I am curious to learn when and where John and Anna married. Who their parents were, siblings, etc.Responses
