Surname Strange

My great-grandfather was Carl Lott Strange--born in Gum Branch, Onslow County, North Carolina. He and his wife--Margaret Barry--left for Texas in 1848. He and his wife Margaret settled near Riesel, Texas. My information indicates he was born in Onslow County on February 27, 1821 and died January 12, 1865.
