Scherle Ancestors

I am currently searching for ancestors of August Scherle. He came to America from Baden, Germany about 1855. He came with brothers Francis and Antone. August married Rosalia Geos in St. Louis, Missouri on 7 Aug 1861. He settled in Monroe and later Randolph Counties, Illinois. His brother Antone moved to Perry County, Illinois. I don't know what happened to Francis.
August is my ggrandfather on my father's side. I know the areas where his children settled, but nothing of his ancestors. I also know of Antone's descendents.

Does anyone know of the whereabouts of Francis's descendents? Or anything about August's ancestors?
