contact with other Perry named people

I am most interested in contacting any other Perry families. I am in the U.K. but have always thought and had an affinity with Latin/Mediterranean names. I love French and Spanish and wonder whether there is a connection. Ship-building and Plymouth seem to come up frequently in my searches - my father who died 30 years ago was Patrick James Perry and he had a brother Roger Perry who was lost at sea during the 2nd World War serving in the Royal Navy.
My mother is still alive - 98 years old - Kathleen Mary Perry. Not many of us in our family and so I am keen to make contact with anyone who has links with us. With my best wishes and good luck in your search. Louise James
