Paduas of San Sebastian, PR

Posted by Lily Padua <sheetar@msn.com> on Mon, 07 Jul 2008

Trying to make a connection between my branch of Paduas and others in San Sebastian. My husband is a descendant of Martin Padua y Rodriguez (also listed as Padua y Lebron). He had a brother Mateo, and possibly others. I found families of Jose Padua y Rodriguez and Antonio Padua y Rodriguez living near Martin from 1910-1920. I am thinking they are brothers, but would like to confirm.

Martin was born in the early 1860s according to the census and Mateo is about 20 years younger. They lived on a coffee farm in Calabazas or Perchas 1, San Sebastian, PR from 1910-1930 at least.

Martin married Carmen Rivera y Mendez and had kids:
Luis, Carmen, Celia, Angela, Ricarda, Gregorio, Ana & Maria.

I don’t know if Mateo ever married.
