Parrs in Texas

Looking for info on the death of Richard Parr by shooting in Gonzales, Texas. Richard is supposed to have died 12-22-1853 after being shot over a land squabble. I am told the story of the shooting is included in the Gonzales Texas History Book, and newspapers from Gonzales Texas. Does anybody have access to those publications? Thanks in advance.
