Hi all My name is Martin in my Family i am the Youngest son of Nicholas Johannes Willem Martin Who is if im not mistaken the 4th or 5th child of Lenie Esterhuizen Whos Surname has 12 years ago changed to Niewhoudt When she re maried almost 35 years after my Grandfather passed She is still Alive Today Aged 94 years and still strong...
If there is any other relatives of mine which i do not know about and may not know me plz lea

Hello Martin, my maiden surname was Esterhuizen. My father was Stephanus Petrus Esterhuizen and was born on a farm close to Zeerust in the North West. Don't know if we could be related? Regards Melinda Prinsloo (nee Esterhuizen)

Hi Martin/whom it may concern.
I feel a bit silly. My son, grade 5 must research the origin of his family name and present his family code of arms.
Thruth is I do not know, and was never interested to start digging.
Do you know from which country we originate, and where I can find our Code of Arms?
If it interests you my father Andries Jonathan Esterhuizen, born in 1934, grew up in Leeugamka, Prince Albert area in the Karoo. His father was Franscois, if I am not mistaken. I am currently staying in Paarl near Capetown.
Are you able to assist in the country of our origin?

  It appear's that within SA we have a number of branches from Esterhuizens originated from Austria, Bulgaria, Hungary and even Slovakia

  It might be more authentic tracing your actual Cote of arms and origin starting from now tracing back, instead of from then to now.
  All I know is that my research proof, that all Esterhuizen's family was well know and from a royal back ground.
