The Bissenden of Hastings

Posted by Jeff Bissenden <jeffbissenden@blueyonder.co.uk> on Fri, 06 Nov 2009, in response to Bissenden Family, posted by derek bissenden on Thu, 23 Apr 2009

I suspect a lot of us go back to the Hastings era. The earliest information I have is that Thomas Bissenden married Fanny Lepper. They had 4 children: Sarah (1817), John (1819), James (1825) and Ellen (1826). I am related to John. He had six children one of whom was Harvey(1854) who is my great grandfather.
Gina (Allen) mentioned a her great great grandmother, Mary Ann Frances Bissenden. There is a Mary A Bissenden mentioned in the 1881 census of Hastings. She was 38 and unmarried Gina so it may not be the same woman.
