finding biological parents

Posted by maggie <china_blue@hotmail.com> on Sat, 05 Sep 2009, in response to looking for my real parents i was adopted, posted by tiffany clontz on Wed, 19 Aug 2009

I was adopted in 1957. Always wondered about my birth mother/father. What I did was went to the county courthouse in the county where I was born, looking in the record book hoping to find another person born that day whose mother might happen to rememember MY mother being in labor at the same time. SURPRISE! I didn't find what I was looking for.. I found my very own birth certificate with my bio mother's name on it!! It was just that easy.. The adoption records and birth certificate that is given after the adoption is final is sealed in the state where I lived. BUT, the actual birth records are kept. If you are sure you know where and when you were born, go there, look through the records for that day and find a baby girl born at the same time/place/date as you.. and chances are that is what you're looking for! Best of luck to you, honey... we all need to know where we came from, if not just for the psychological, for the medical history that is so important now. Good luck and God bless!!
