Simpson

Posted by Denise Coughlin-Keys <irish620x@hotmail.com> on Wed, 10 Jun 2009

My husband's Grandparents, Albert and Dorothy Simpson, lived in Southwest Philadelphia. Albert was a candymaker, Dorothy a homemaker. They had a daughter named Dorothy Simpson who married Henry "Herbert" Smith. He emigrated from England with his parents and was born on the boat in 1904. It seems his Mother did not make it but he completed the trip with his Father, John Smith. Dorothy and Henry "Herbert" had a son in 1928 whom they named Herbert Sterrett Smith. Dorothy's young husband died a couple years later. Young Dorothy later married Frank Keys, who adopted little Herbert. The families lived on both Salford Street and Aldan Street in Southwest Philadelphia. All but young Herbert are buried in Mt. Moriah Cemetary. If you have any information on the Simpson's or the Smith's, please exchange/share details and pictures me as we build our Family Tree. Thank you.
