i need to find my birth family

i was born in mason county ky in 1969.i was told by my adopted mother that i was 3 years old when her and my dad got me. their names where mr. and mrs. hargett. my step dads name was james l. hargett and my step mothers name is margaret w. hargett. they raised me in augusta,ky. until i was 11 yrs old.we moved to dallas to be close to my step moms family. my step dad was very sick. he died 2yrs.after we moved to dallas when my mom and himself decided to divorce. i'm just trying to find out anything about my adoption. noone will tell me anything. my step mom always gets mad or upset everytime i ask her. but i have 8 beautiful children and i need to know something.anyone that could help me it would be greatly appriciated.
