harbour main, NF

Good evening Ann,
I have been searching for news of my father John Vincent Slaney, who also may have been born in Harbour Main,
NF. That is, unless there are two such men with identical names. Have had no luck with responses from others who post similar information of the mesage board I recently happened onto. It was through such that I learned of another JVS from the above named town.
What do you know of Harbour Main - is it a small or large town? Is it near St John's? Might we have better luck with contact of their local Town Hall.

I hope you have had better luck than I. I, too,would like to pursue knowledge of that side of family - none of which I have ever known. Look forward to hearing from you.
