Want to know who my father is

im 30 years old and still don't know who my father is really, my mother says its this guy from my town they had a one night stand but i dont think he's my dad as i look nothing like him. How can i find out without actually asking him becuse my mum says he knows about this and he wants nothing to do with me.
Some one please help me.
