do Carmo

Posted by Christopher William Felt <christopherwilliam@myself.com> on Fri, 04 Jul 2008, in response to Meaning of the Pereira surname, posted by Daryl Pereira on Sun, 06 Mar 2005

I am so pleased to have stumbled upon your posting of the meaning and origin of the name do Carmo. My girlfriend's name is Maria do Carmo Luz Stutz. When I would ask her what or where Carmo was she never had an answer. She is Brazilian of German-Italian and Native descent, hence the Stutz. However, concerning do Carmo, all she knew was that it was an old name that had been passed down to her. Your post was very insightful and informative, thank you.
