Zatarain árabe

Pues bien, yo también soy Zatarain y por mucho tiempo creí que el origen del apellido era árabe también, ya que durante un viaje mi papá compró un escudo de armas de nuestro apellido y ahí vienen las raices y los significados donde supuestamente es "río que corre". Años mas tarde, el conoció a una lingûista que al escuchar su apellido le dijo "sabes que es árabe?" por la terminación IN... con esto ya van dos fuentes que dicen lo mismo. A raíz de esto empecé a buscar más y vi que hubo una familia noble de apellido Zatarain en Francia, a los cuales, durante la revolucion francesa los mataron dejando a unos muy pocos sobrevivientes que se hicieron comerciantes y perdieron sus titulos de nobleza.
Tambien ponganse a pensar que el mentado país vasco se encuentra entre España y Francia y en España hubo 8 siglos de dominación árabe, por lo cual el apellido pudo difundirse facilmente entre esos 3 lugares, y de ahí se vino a México, especialmente a Puebla y a Sinaloa. Mi abuelo es Zatarain Zatarain... o sea que viene de dos familias con el mismo apellido. Cualquier otra información que quieran compartir, ahí está mi correo. A mi también me parece un tema interesante. Saludos.
