Help me find my father

I am trying to find my father who I have not seen since I was 11 years old. I am 47 years old now. My father's name is Nathaniel Thompson and was born in Greenville, North Carolina and should be either 80 or 81 if he is still alive. He met my mother Evelyn when he came to live in New York and they dated but did not marry and had me. My name is Natalie Thompson. Their relationship did not work out and they went their separate ways and my father never came back to look for me.I really want to meet my Dad again. I don't hold anything against him for not being around for so long. I just want to be reunited. If anyone knows of my Dad, please advise. Thanks.
