Where did my last name originated from?

I have always been curious of my last name. I've always wanted to know where it came from and if my last name comes from a surtain country will that mean that i use to have ancestors in the past? Also, many say that my last name start it off from Arabia or somewhere around there and that later on it went to Spain and then to Mexico.
