my name, DELENA

Sixty five years ago my father dated a DeLena Blalock. When I was tiny, and asked where I got my name, I'd say I was named after my daddy's old girlfriend. The consistant response "how does your mom feel".. I'd cutely say, "she says she's the one who got him" One day, my very proper mom quipped "If I knew where DeLena Blalock was I'd send BOTH of you to her!" I never told that story again. In fact, traveling in Italy, I saw DELENA as a LAST name. I'm shocked to see so many others when I googled it today.
