Bad Jack Asher,s,real Name.

Some if not most people that new John M Asher Born in Clay County,Ky abt.1859 and was kille'd abt 1894 in Clay county,Ky,was Married to a Mrs.Mahala "Hailey"Howard a daughter of old James Howard of Clay County,Ky,Mahala had a brother James howard that Lived at Mill Creek of the right Fork Of straight Creel,Ky,i thank he was born about 1865 their father Old James B.Howard he married Nancy Ball she was born abt.1831,old JamesB.howard he was born about 1822,here,s a list of their Children;as follows,1.Elizabeth A.Howard b.1843
2.Narcissa Howard B.1844
3.Dallas Howard B.1846
4.Mose Howard B. 1847
5.Mary L.Howard B.1848
6.Texas Howard B.1850
7.Daniel Howard B.1852
8.Susan Howard B. 1853
9.Mahala Howard B.1856
10.Nancy Howard B.1858
11.Minerva Howard B. 1860
12.James Howard B.1865
i believe that these are a different set of howards than the family of Clay County,Ky,My Grand Mother Mahala "Hailey"Howard was the daughter of Jas.Howard & Calvinia Bingham,Hailey Birth gives that she was Born April 16,1855,though the Mill Creek Howard Family Mahala Birth is Given as 1856.,she could not be the same mahala as my Grandmother,
The way that her Birth certifacation is written out nameing her father Jas.could be James or Jasper Howard though the 1860 Clay County Census states that his name is James Howard born about 1822 or 1823,

Jackand his family lived alittle ways from the Howard families in clay county,ky its not know when Jack and hailey got Married though Jack was used for John some times though every one new him as "Bad Jack" Asher,most likely his real Name was John Matt Asher A/k/a.Jack Asher, i have included a search fraze here that will take you to wher it names Jack as Jack M.Asher wife Mahala Howard though you will half to get permission from the Board that lists them ,

Also Jacks death year was in Err,his death accured on Auguest 29,1894,according to his Son George Matt asher he stated that he was about twelve years old at the time of jacks death,George was born July 16,1878,though the 1900 Bell county Census:Ed:10:383 says George was 17 teen,his mother Mahala "Hailey Remarried after Jacks death which occured in Bell County,in 1895.just a year or so after his death.
Some have said that Jack might have Been John Chigger Asher which i dought,John Chigger might have been Jackson Carson Asher who Married Mary Redmond.
I hope this clears some of the Err,s up about "Bad Jack"Asher of Clay County,Kentucky.
