Galbrasten
Posted by Stefanie Abromeit <stefanie_abromeit@yahoo.de> on Wed, 23 Aug 2006, in response to Szillat, posted by Dona Olsen on Wed, 10 Dec 2003
Dear Dona,My grandfather was born in Galbrasten. He took my father and me there before he died. Galbrasten (or Dreifurt, how it was called by the nazies) was in the district Tilsit-Ragnit in Ostpreussen. The church registers in Ostpreussen are usually now in Germany, but Galbrasten was part of the church of Sandkirchen and the church register of sandkirchen was burned. If you want, you can contact me, perhaps one of my aunts knows more.
