meaning of Cortez

Posted by jaron cortez <ibnjudah@sbcglobal.net> on Fri, 01 Jul 2005, in response to Cortez, posted by Jorge Cortez on Thu, 10 Feb 2005

I am so glad so many people enjoyed my posting on the meaning of Cortez - cort -means literally "court" or "the laws" and "ez" means "eres zion" which means "you are of zion" so then Cortez means "the court of zion" (Zion - refers to Jerusalem/Israel) which roots back to the king of Israel's court or "King's Court" or residence. Which brings nobility to the cortez name which descends from the "tribe of Judah" and the lineage of King David of Israel. On a higher level the cortez name means "the laws of zion", which means the "laws of G-d", which means "The Ten Commandments" and King David was a man after G-d's own heart because he kept the laws of G-d, The Ten Commandments (The WORD of G-d). This is why the government of Spain is called to this day "The Cortez". Because all the laws of the courts are established on the foundation of the laws of God. The word "judicial system" means to do it the way of the Jews (the way of Judah). Society cannot survive without following the Ten Commandments of G-d.
