Help me find my father for free please

I would love sooo much to find my dad. I was told about him at quite a young age. I'm not sure if you're allowed to give out names on this, but hes Edward Scanlan. Roughly in his mid 40s, with a son from a marriage, prior to him meeting my mum. I'm 16 and I've been told by so many I look like him. I have no idea who he is, or even whether or not he would want to know me. All I know is I would like to meet him, even just once and ask him a few questions that have been left burning on my chest for quite some time, yet only he can answer. I'm an only child and would so much love to have half brothers and sisters. Knowing all this makes me want to meet him so much more. What can I do? I can't afford to pay to find him
