Rafferty Name

Hi there, this is all too weird. My name is Amy Rafferty also - I live in Chicago. My father's name is David Rafferty and he lives in Florida. We also have been tracing our family history - most notably the Rafferty line. The very first was Thomas Rafferty who came to Virginia in the late 1700's, but we cannot find where in Ireland he originated. Sort of ran into a brick wall with that. Anyway - thought I would just pop off a message. Thanks, Amy
