Looking for Birth Mom

I was born on 08-28-78. I am trying to locate my birth mom and find out who I am and where I come from. I was born in Ohio and have no clue how to even begin searching for her. I don't have a lot of money to spend on finding her either but I have 4 children whom I can't tell where they are originally from. And I also don't know what medical problem that they or myself should be looking out for. If any one knows of a young girl ( 15-18 years old) that gave a boy up for adoption in august of 1978. Please contact me.
