The only town that strikes a cord is Hanley. My father is dead so I cannot ask him but he did occasionaly refer to his large extended family in Stoke on Trent and he mentioned Hanley. HIs name was Henry Chawner, born in 1919 and was one of 6. My grandfather was from a very large family in the Stoke area. I would say it is highly probable.Responses
