last name

Posted by Ed <dragonwyk711@yahoo.com> on Sat, 18 Dec 2004, in response to what is the meaning of my full name, posted by marjorie kerstin schwartz on Fri, 17 Dec 2004

I think ,if you look in to it , you will discover that your last name( Schwartz) is german. In the German language the name "Schwartz" means Black. The ancient surnames were from things like occupations,e.g. Weaver, Miller, Carpenter( your name could be shortened from "Blacksmith";or where you are from e.g. London,Hill, Rivers( maybe the name originated from the Black forest in Germany(. I did some research on names and that is what I found out in my own case. You might try to do some of that. It is pretty interesting. Hope this helps you out.
