meaning of Pabon

Posted by Antonio Pabon <tonypabon@atlantic.net> on Fri, 19 Nov 2004, in response to Pabon, posted by Clarissa Pabon on Wed, 02 Jun 2004

Hello, my name is Antonio Pabon and I was able to get some information about the origins of the name. A geneologist from Spain told me that the name Pabon comes from the Latin word "Pavonis" meaning peacock. The name is very old and it is believed that originated in the area of Jerez de la Frontera in southern Spain. I hope this helps.
