Hi beth, i wasnt adopted but i sort of know how you feel. I did live with my mum, but she never showed affection, she only hit me, that was it. I got battered for 5 years, and during that time, i longed for somebody to "sweep me off my feet" but in a motherly sense, And im still like that now. But, yeah i now how you feel, you just hang in there, you'll see her sometime. I promise
