obtaining a Metis card

I would you like have some information on obtaining a Metis Status card. My brother Blake Colyne Robinson has received his card and I would also like to find out the details. My brother lives in southern Ontario, but I live in Northern Ontario. The Sudbury district. Someone has traced his native status to grandparents from the Bancroft and Golden Lake area. Could you please let me know if it would be benefical if I had his status number to help with the search. I can be reached at the above email or at 705-897-0355.
