SHIRLAW, Hugh or William

I'm looking for information about a Hugh Shirlaw believed to have come to Australia around 1850, may be sooner. He was married to an Isabella but there is no record of mariage in Australia, so belived to have mariade before settling. There was a minimum of 11 children born. Hugh Died in 1920 and death records state the father as Hugh.
It is also believed that a William Shirlaw was the brother of Hugh, who married an Elisbeth Edwards in 1871. There is no birth record for William either.
In the little that we know, its belived that William and Hugh were brothers that came to Australia possibly from Glosgow. There father was also Hugh and there was possibly another brother that went to America.

If you have any information that way be of help, it would be gratefully apreciated
