Metis Status

Hi Amy, just so you know. I received my card by applying through my local branch of the Metis Association. You should first find the location of the one nearest you and they will provide you with an application. If you are 1/16 you should be eligible, I have 3 children who are 1/16 and deemed eligible (i am 1/8th) If you would like more information on the history of the Metis (you could find alot of your family in this book if you truly are Metis) Try getting a copy of the Geneology of the First Metis Nation, I purchased mine at local book store. You can try the Library first. Good Luck!
