William Leefe-Robinson

Posted by John Leefe <john@databeat.com> on Fri, 19 Mar 2004, in response to William Leefe-Robinson, posted by James Wilson on Tue, 09 Dec 2003

I was interested to hear about your enquiry into William Leefe-Robinson.

I have a special interest in our hero as he was named Leefe-Robinson after my grandfather Lionel Otley Leefe. My Father, Lionel Cuthbert Arden Leefe (who himself saw action with the Navy in the first world war) told me many years ago of his father's close friendship with William's father and how he had named his son after LOL, my grandfather.

I am afraid I know no more than that.

Best wishes

John Leefe
