I'm trying to locate family members or anyone who knew Mildred Washington. She was a beautiful, talented Black actress, dancer, and entertainer. Mildred appeared in a quite a few films in Hollywoo dand very popular on the stage. She worked the Sebastian Cotton Club and appeared in films with big stars of the time like Hearts in Dixie, Torch Singer, Blonde Venus, The Shopworn Angel, Tenderfeet, Only Yesterday, Morning Glory, and The Thoroughbred. I read that she had a daughter. She was a very popular, and well-loved star of stage and screen and was on the verge of becoming a superstar until her untimely death. Mildred a.k.a Milly was admired by people in Show Business and her fans. I would like to include her in a book.Display message for printing | Print Entire Thread
