Historia del apellido

El origen del apellido Collazo es gallego, de Galicia, una región de España al noroeste de la Peninsula Ibérica fronterizo con Portugal. Dicha región tiene un idioma propio (galego) cooficial con el español. Las gentes de dicho territorio somos de origen celta, al igual que bretones (norte de Francia), irlandeses y escoceses. El significado del apellido es "hermano de leche". Es normal que el apellido se haya extendido por toda America, porque los gallegos al igual que los irlandeses somos un pueblo de emigrantes. Espero que esta explicación os haya dado una idea del origen de nuestro apellido. Un saludo desde Galicia, España.
