Purslow Family of Shropshire, UK

Am searching for Purslow family info for my mother, Elsie Purslow Roberson, age 100. Her grandfather, Jonathan Edwin Purslow b. 1844, d. 1927 was humorist, author, lived in West Bromich and several locations in Staffordshire and Shropshire, U.K. We recently met Ronald Thomas Purslow, b. 1935- who now lives in California. He told us about a manor house known as Purslow Hall located in the Wales/English borderlands. Acccording to Ron, Purslow is a very ancient English name, going back perhaps 1300 years.
