nationality of father's last name

My father's last name is Mcclain and I really don't know much about him or his name. His first name is Jack but I don't know his middle name. I do know he had a Genetic Blood Disease which I have otherwise I know nothing more of my heritage or the nationality of the name. Can you please help. I do know he was born in Havre de Grace, Maryland.
