Montero de Canarias o Puerto Rico

Busco informacion sobre el apellido Montero oriundo de Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Islas Canarias. Mi antepasado se establece en Naguabo, Puerto Rico 1799. Me gustaria continuar su ascendencia en Canarias. Cualquier información sera bienvenida.
