Searching for Family of Luther Merle Meachum

Hi. My name is Pamela Myers. My maiden name was Pamela Eve Meachum and my father was Luther Merle Meachum. He was born in Durham, NC in early 1920s. Met my mother in Norfolk, VA - probably around 1949. She returned to Louisville, KY and I was born here in 1950. I'm not looking to cause any trouble. Just curious about my father's family as I know very little about them.

Any help would be appreciated.
