Joseph A. McDonald

I am looking for information about my great-great grandfather Joseph A. McDonald, estimated birth year is about 1843. He had at least 4 children by his first wife. Samuel, Mahala, Tier and Poole. He then had my great grandfather and his sister Julie. He is buried in Natchitoches, LA. Family history states that he died around 1885. However, we are unsure. This estimation was arrived at due to my great-grandfathers birth date and the size he was when his father died.
