Thomas Jefferson King

I know of some King family members that migrated from the West Mississippi area to northern Illinois, Iowa and Minnesota. Abraham Lincoln King, he was my grandfather and I was told his father's name was Thomas Jefferson King. could it be that wew are searching for inforamtion on the same person?
