Your Father
Posted by Joan Rozycko <jrozycko@alliancebankna.com> on Wed, 14 Mar 2007, in response to Your Biological Father, posted by Michael James McCasland on Mon, 29 May 2006
Steven - I know that it must have been difficult to find out years later about this but I have a few comments I want to share. Your father is Robert Kohanski regardless if he provided the biological make up of you, he is your father. He was with your mother when you were born, he was with you through all of your hard times, good times, and fun times. He was with you when you were married, graduted from school from the Army, should I go on. It takes more than providing the biological make up to be a father and mother. It isn't that I agree with the decision your parents made about not telling you - that isn't up to me to agree or disagree, but I need you to know how important family is, and how important the bond between a parent (regardless if they are biological or not) and child is. I could not love Matthew any less or I could not love another child any more than I do if I created him or not. My favorite poem "Not flesh from my flesh, or bone from my bone, but still miraculous my OWN. Never forget for a minute you didn't grow under my heart but in it..."Responses
