Pearse clan: Scottish and Irish?
Posted by Jeremiah Pearse <splake89@yahoo.com> on Wed, 15 Feb 2006, in response to Pearse, could i be part Irish ?, posted by Peter Pearse on Sun, 24 Nov 2002
Actually, the Pearse family is definitely part Scottish. There is a good chance that we are also Irish, because Padraig Pearse in the 1800's was probably Irish and read the Irish speech for independence. He also tried to make the kilt Ireland's national dress. If you have any information on the Pearse tartan, either Scottish or Irish, please let me know. I have been trying to find a picture of the Pearse tartan as many sources refer to it, but so far no pictures.Responses
