michael i dont think we are talking about same person. the frank i knew of died back in the thirties.my ancestors came from tipperary and cork.they came to newfoundland and a lot of them went to pennsilvania. ive been told stories of michael dwyer well known so called rebel.i have the ballad about him. he was exiled to australia around 1805 and he and his wife are buried in waverly cemetary sydney aus. he was chief of police there. i spent some time in australia in the 70s while in the rcaf. sorry i didnt get to visit his grave. strange how the same names have been passed down. i have sons patrick and michael.my father was richard and had uncles matthew thomas and john. i imagine we are all in the same family tree some where. my great grandfathers name was phillip. my grand mother was a cronin and she could trace her name back to joe cronin who was with the new york yankees. my wife and i are retired and live in nova scotia canada. it was nice to have heard back from you.regards jim dwyer.Display message for printing | Print Entire Thread
