I'm researching what appears to be another branch. James Wholey married mary (O) Sulllivan, we believe in Bantry in the latter part of the 1800's ( probably the 1880's). They had six children that we know of as follows:James Wholey emigrated to Philadelphia and was still living in the 1930's.
A daughter listed in an obituary as Mrs. James Burke also of Philadelphia in the early 1930's
a son Daniel Wholey born July 4, 1886 in Bantry, settled in Portsmouth, NH. Died May 10, 1982. Married Catherine Mahoney August 15, 1909 in Portsmouth, NH
a daughter Margaret (my wife's grandmother), born Jun 1, 1891 in Bantry, emigrated to Philadelphia, thence to Portsmouth, NH sometime around 1910. Married Dennis Leary. Died July 13, 1931.
a daughter Julia (Mrs. Patrick) Harnedy of Bantry. We beleive that she had children who may still be living in Bantry and would like to contact them. Her address is is given as Droumclough, Bantry.
a son, Jeremiah who also stayed in Bantry. He may have a a son, also Jeremiah,
who may have been a resident in St. Joseph's Hospital in Bantry in 2002 - an elderly man at that time.
