Conrons in America

Posted by Francis X. Conron, Jr. <fconron@nycap.rr.com> on Tue, 13 Dec 2005, in response to very informative, posted by Amy Conron on Sat, 17 Jan 2004

Amy, I have corresponded by e-mail with your Dad, Michael T. Conron for some years now. We may be very distant cousins, although his great-grandfather was Sylvester, and mine was Patrick C. Conron of Fond du Lac,Wisconsin. Both were immigrants from County Cork in the 1840s. As far as we know they were not directly related, but may have been, since Michael, John, Thomas and William are common to both branches. My grandfather was John J. of Newport, R.I., and he had 3 younger brothers: Francis William, Thomas and James. Thomas married again after the death of his first wife, and moved to Alhambra, CA, where he lived with his second wife, Bertha.
